Ohio

This past weekend the kids, my mom, my aunt and I drove to Ohio to visit my aunt and uncle. This is the second year we have taken this road trip and we are already looking forward to next year. This year we spent a day at a museum in Columbus, played baseball, ate too much EXCELLENT food, swam(did a little scuba diving in the pool), played pool, had some CRAZY ping pong games and even broke out the Snorta game. It was a lot of fun.

Birthday Boy

We asked Carter what he wanted to do on his birthday and he wanted to go out for breakfast, go to Chuck E Cheese for lunch, go bowling, and go to the movies after Dad got home from work. Phew! I am not made of money so therefore we went to Chuck E Cheese for lunch and we went to see Despicable Me with Matt. :)

I did not tell him that I invited Aunt Abby, Mason, Emily and Grandma Jennifer to Chuck E Cheese so he was really surprised they were all there. He was insistent that we go there on his birthday so he would be able to get a birthday hat. So he got his hat and had a blast playing all the games.

Happy Birthday Carter!

Today Carter turns 5. I never thought it would happen so fast. We had a birthday party for him Saturday night with some family and friends. He was spoiled and got a bunch of fun new toys.

Wisconsin

I guess I forgot to post this. I meant to post our trip to Wisconsin! We spent the 4th in WI at Matt's Aunt and Uncle's cottage. This was our third year spending the holiday there. We look forward to it and truly have a great time. Matt's parents also come up so we get to see them as well. This year both of the kids went out fishing, I was able to do some shopping and Matt got to set off fireworks. here are some pictures from our trip.

Dance Camp

Riley just finished her two weeks of dance camp. She was in dance at 3 and 4 but lost interest or maybe I should say, wanted to try so many other things that we had to give it up. But she chose to try it again at summer dance camp. I think she really enjoyed it but not sure what she can give up during the year to fit it in! I love that she wants to do it all but will not overextend her so she can. She needs to be a kid too!So we will see in the future what she decides but here is her dance she performed on the last day.
