Gingerbread Houses

Once again Matt wanted to make a Gingerbread Hotel (replica of the Doubletree) to display during the holiday season at the hotel. So I made several batches of gingerbread dough. When we started drawing out the pieces we needed to build this hotel, I decided it was going to be way too difficult. So, with that much dough, we had to do something! The kids wanted to make houses. So here are their pieces of art.

Ice Skating and the first Christmas party of the year

The ice on my mom's pond was good enough to start skating so we took advantage of it! The kids have been skating several times since as both of them love it. Carter loves to play hockey and Riley mostly likes to skate around on some trails in the snow that she and Grandma made.
The same day was the Schuitema Christmas party at my mom's house. I included a couple pictures of the kids opening presents.

Riley's Dance

Riley spends her Friday nights at dance and the week before Christmas we were able to go in and watch her. These are some pictures from that night.
